Export Quality Guide
Understanding export quality settings, file sizes, and when to use each resolution.
Choosing the Right Quality
Resolution Guide
| Resolution | Pixel Count | File Size (1 min) | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 720p | 1280x720 | ~15 MB | Quick shares, social media previews |
| 1080p | 1920x1080 | ~30 MB | YouTube, LinkedIn, most platforms |
| 4K | 3840x2160 | ~120 MB | Maximum quality, future-proofing |
When to Use Each
- 720p: Fast exports for quick preview or X/Twitter where quality is compressed anyway
- 1080p: The sweet spot for 95% of use cases. All platforms display 1080p well
- 4K: Only needed if your source is 4K and you want to preserve maximum quality
Audio Settings
All exports use 128 kbps AAC audio, which provides clear speech quality at a reasonable file size. Audio crossfade smooths transitions at cut points to avoid jarring pops.
Browser Compatibility
Export uses WebCodecs for hardware-accelerated video encoding. For the best experience:
| Browser | Support |
|---|---|
| Chrome 94+ | Full support (recommended) |
| Edge 94+ | Full support |
| Firefox | Partial — may fall back to FFmpeg.wasm |
| Safari | Limited WebCodecs support |
For the fastest and most reliable exports, use Chrome or Edge.
